Among the world nations, US is a country which spends much on health care activities. At the same time, this is the only country with enough wealth and industrialization, yet not following a universal health care plan.
Around 84% of US citizens have some form of health insurance. 60% of the citizens receive this through their employers, while 9% get it through individual means and around 27% depends on government programs for their health insurance. There can be overlap in these proportions when same individual get insurance by more than one means. Apart from this, there is also public funding for health insurance.
